The Triangle

Nwoko Arts

Do you remember the ‘Granby Triangle’ of 1991?

The people, the music, maybe the carnivals?

Imagine stepping back in time and experiencing life along Princes Boulevard for the second time, or perhaps the first?

THE TRIANGLE is a ground-breaking, site-specific play from Nwoko Arts and it will be performed for one day only on Sunday 4th September (2pm & 6pm) on Princes Avenue, Liverpool 8.

The play is the third instalment of Nwoko’s L8 trilogy and is written by Maria Paul and Majorie Morgan. The first instalment, Married in Black, wowed audiences at much-loved Lantern Theatre, whilst the second, Sweet Mother, was performed at the Liverpool's Royal Court Studio and the inaugural Liverpool Theatre Festival, where it garnered a four-star review from The Guardian. Later this year, it will be performed at Camden People's Theatre.

Like its predecessors, THE TRIANGLE promises to be an unforgettable experience; evoking memories – some beautiful, some heart-breaking – and stand as a powerful tribute to and celebration of the strength and determination of the L8 communities old and new.
