Stephen Hull is a sound designer specialising in recording and creating bespoke sound design for theatre, film and television. His experience includes creating sound for many theatrical productions, short films, TV documentaries, websites, radio and a variety of immersive artistic installations.
Stephen is a core member artist with All Things Considered Theatre, a company that regularly collaborates with drama practitioners, facilitators, writers, composers and performers creating meaningful, beautiful and purposeful theatre for a wide range of audiences.
As well as sound design and audio post production, Stephen produces music for a range of independent artists and produces electronic music as The Way Outside and Audiostem.
Clients range from the BBC to independent filmmakers and he has collaborated with many diverse and amazing artists on a variety of exciting projects. Stephen was the Sound Designer for the Hope Street Emerging Artist Programme in Liverpool (2014) and regularly collaborates with directors and writers from The Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatre.
Stephen trained at Manchester’s School of Sound Recording and has qualifications in Audio Engineering Techniques and Technology, Audio Post Production for Film and TV and is Avid Pro Tools certified.
